Royal Lytham - A premier links golf course.

Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club was founded in 1886 and the present course was built in 1897. It is one of the premier links courses in the world. Bernard Darwin long ago said, "St Annes is unquestionably a fine, fierce, searching test of golf" - and so it has proved for golfers through the ages.
Two Ryder Cup Matches, the Curtis Cup, three Amateur Championships and many other major Tournaments, including the very first British Ladies Amateur Championship in 1893, have all taken place at Royal Lytham. In 1993 the ladies returned to celebrate their Centenary and it was the third consecutive year that Royal Lytham was the venue for the ever-popular British Seniors Open. The course regularly hosts the British Open.
