Hesketh Golf Club - Southport's oldest golf course

Established in 1885, Hesketh Golf Club is the oldest in Southport. The links are of championship standard, having hosted the Lancashire Amateur Championship, British Amateur Championship, British Senior Amateur and British Girls Amateur, as well as being a regular venue for Final Qualifying for the Open Championship. Hesketh is the only championship golf club to regularly support Handigolf.

Whilst visiting Hesketh Golf Club, a visit to the Bentley Room is a definite must. On display you will find a wealth of unique memorabilia celebrating the achievements of the famous Bentley brothers, Harry and Arnold.
Hesketh offers visiting golfers a year-round series of open competitions, as well as hosting a week-long golfing festival.
